A royal photographer and a close friend to Lady Diana thought Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s marriage might fail due to the royal family pressure
Just a few months back, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary, which was also their first anniversary after stepping down as the senior Royals. However, Kent Gavin, a royal photographer, who was very close to Lady Diana says that he didn’t think Harry and Markle’s marriage would last for more than 3 years. Kent has been a close friend to the Princess Of Wales and he has spent a major portion of his life documenting Diana’s life in the Royal family, from her marriage to her tours all around the world.
For this reason, he seems pretty familiar with the royal family and how they live. And so he thought that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s marriage will not be able to withstand the pressures of royal life. “When it was announced that Harry was going to marry Meghan, I said to my colleagues and a few people, ‘I don’t give that marriage three years,'” Gavin told insider. Meghan Markle is a Hollywood actress and so she had no idea about the royal family and their protocols before she got married. “I cannot see Hollywood, which is Meghan, a beautiful woman, a confident actress, putting up with the system, which even Diana couldn’t cope with,” Gavin added.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s marriage did survive 3 years, however, there is no doubt in the fact that the ‘Suits’ alum personally suffered a lot after becoming a Royal. In her and Harry’s interview with Oprah, Markle revealed that at one point in her life after being a Royal, she had ‘suicidal thoughts and that nobody helped her to cope.’ She also claimed that the Royal family refused to protect her from the British media, who continuously tortured her with their racial comments. However, for these reasons and more, the Duke and Duchesses decided to leave their positions as the senior Royal members and shifted to California, where they now live with son Archie,2, and daughter Lilli.
Meghan’s turning 40!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have recently become parents to their second child, a daughter, Lillibet Diana, whose name is a tribute to the late Princess of Wales and the Queen of England. This Wednesday will mark Meghan’s first birthday after becoming a mother to a daughter. However, the ‘Remember Me’ actress will not be having a big bash this year, keeping in mind the recent Covid-19 situation in her hometown. A source has claimed that the couple has invited around 65 guests including her closest friends and family for the celebration party at their California mansion.
The party is being planned by Colin Cowie, who was Vogue’s top wedding planner and caterer in 2018, and is also Oprah Winfrey’s A-list party planner. The guest list for Meghan Markle’s 40th birthday bash might include Lindsay Roth, actresses Janina Gavankar, Abigail Spencer, Silver Tree, Daniel Martin, Oprah Winfrey, and the Clooneys. Another source has also claimed that Prince Harry might take Meghan to an intimate getaway as her birthday gift.
