Her plans of writing down her thoughts on paper began in 2018, as she revealed this in an interview with Vogue, and quarantine provided her the opportunity to finally turn this into reality.

She also talks about her parents’ relationship and marriage. “What would become an amazing thirty-two-year marriage of equal partners began without the accepted traditions of an arranged marriage and a long engagement, as they married ten days later,” she wrote. She compares this to her own relationship by saying, “Clearly Nick and I were slow starters.”
Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas’ relationship and why she took up his surname
Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas started dating half a year later after she first slid into Nick’s Twitter DM’s in 2016. In her book, she also reveals how she looked him up on Google like ‘every girl with self-respect should’ as she revealed in her interview with Good Morning America and Lorraine. Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas got hitched on December 1, 2018.
While inaugurating the launch of her memoir ‘Unfinished’ with Barstool Sports’ Chicks In The Office podcast, she opened up about why she decided to adopt his surname. According to JustJared, Priyanka said, “The first time I saw it, I was like, ‘Oh, oh ok, that’s my name now.” She wanted to honor her family traditions since she “inherited a beautiful name and I hope to live up to its legacy.”
She also talked about her desire to see a world where women don’t have to take after their husband’s surnames or vice-versa in the interview. “And we have to like maybe hopefully in another 50 years, it’ll be guys taking our names too, or just not changing our names, you know, and that’ll be normalized. But I don’t think I was at that place when I got married, I kind of wanted to honor my parents’ tradition and that’s just how it happened,” she said.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas was asked to get plastic surgery for her botched nose and how it affected her career
In ‘Unfinished,’ Priyanka Chopra Jonas also talks about how she was asked to get a plastic surgery by the first director/producer she met after her big win at the Miss India beauty pageant, and how it affected her mentally. “I never had the courage to stand up for myself, and actually admit it,” Priyanka opened up. “Because I heard so often, ‘Don’t be a nuisance, you’re new in the industry, you don’t want to have a reputation that you cause trouble or you’re not easy to work with.’ Now on the other side of 35. I know that’s a normalized thing that girls hear so often,” she continued.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas also revealed how she was dropped from two movies following a botched nose job. “I felt devastated and hopeless,” she revealed in her memoir according to Insider. The actress had to get a polyp removed from her nasal cavity through surgery, according to Insider.
“Fortunately, a polypectomy sounded like a pretty routine procedure. Unfortunately, it wasn’t,” she revealed in her memoir. There was a huge mishap in the surgery. The doctor, in her own words had, “accidentally shaved the bridge of my nose and the bridge collapsed.” The results were mortifying. “My original nose was gone. My face looked completely different. I wasn’t me. Every time I looked in the mirror, a stranger looked back at me, and I didn’t think my sense of self or my self-esteem would ever recover from the blow,” she added.
This took a toll on her acting career. “As if the physical and emotional pain of the original and subsequent corrective surgeries weren’t enough, this was a terrible blow. My career, a career based so much on physical appearance, seemed to be over before it had even really started,” she said. She went through “several corrective surgeries” to fix her nose and eventually made peace with the way she looked.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ memoir ‘Unfinished’ came out on February 9, 2021. Her book is inspiring and a message to everyone who is delving into the unknown world of stardom, as the actress, producer, and writer talks about her own life, in turn motivating others on how to make it in such a competitive world.
