Dr. Dre was hospitalized this week after suffering a brain aneurysm. He is currently at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
As reported by TMZ, the rapper and headphones entrepreneur suffered from an aneurysm on Monday. The 55-year-old was rushed to the hospital and was taken directly to the ICU.
The entertainment portal further said that Dre is “stable and lucid” even though doctors don’t know what caused the bleeding yet and are conducting several tests.
The hip-hop mogul took to Instagram today to give fans an update on his health.
“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!” he wrote.
LL Cool J also took to social media to update fans after news of Dr. Dre being hospitalized became known.
Dr. Dre is in the middle of a messy divorce with his estranged wife, Nicole Young, whom he married in 1996.
About Dr. Dre and Nicole Young’s divorce
Nicole Young is seeking $2 million a month in temporary spousal support to “maintain the status quo” of her lifestyle, along with $5 million for attorney fees.
Dr. Dre, on the other hand, has called her demands “ridiculous”, arguing that he’s already covering her major expenses, including security services and the Malibu estate where she lives.
Nicole further claims that their prenuptial agreement should not be considered as Dre ripped it up a few years into their marriage. But the rapper recently presented the document, which says that they agreed to walk away with whatever properties they had each required during their marriage, in court.
However, the prenup also states that Nicole has the right to spousal supporting.
Dr. Dre and Nicole Young’s divorce is indeed getting messier by the day. Dr. Dre recently claimed that he does not have the resources to fulfill Nicole’s monetary demands. In response to this, Nicole enunciated his assets in her recent statement to the court.
The document says he has a whopping $262,000,000 in cash and Apple holdings at the moment, TMZ reported. It further illustrated the expensive lifestyle the former couple used to lead, their monthly expenditure and more.
A court hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, but they might have to reschedule as Dr. Dre is hospitalized.
