The amazing Rebel Wilson — who surprised everyone with her weight loss the past year — is all ready for the summer.
Earlier today, the actress posted stunning photos of herself in a mesh top and leggings, sipping on a fruit cocktail. Everything about her pictures screamed “summer” and gave complete beach vibes.
“HotGirlSummer #Hotlanta who’s with me?” the Pitch Perfect actress captioned her photos.
Rebel is currently shooting in Atlanta for her upcoming movie Senior Year. In fact, she was recently photographed on the set of the film, showing off her toned physique in a pretty pink sweatshirt and jean shorts.
What’s the secret behind Rebel Wilson’s drastic weight loss? The actress reveals details!
Rebel Wilson decided to make 2020 her “Year of Health”. She definitely came out of it fitter and healthier — losing an incredible 65lbs.
While Rebel Wilson has been very open about her weight loss journey, she recently revealed the secret behind it in an interview with Shape.
As the actress shared, moderate walking played a huge role in her weight transformation.
She kicked off her wellness journey with an Austrian health retreat which helped flush out “every toxic substance possible in all sorts of crazy ways.”
During the retreat, she learned that “moderate, not even fast-paced, walking is the best way for me to lose unnecessary body fat.”
Rebel Wilson decided to embark on a journey of health and wellness as she hit 40. “Until this past year, my year of health, I never properly considered wellness from all angles,” she shared during the chat.
“But I was turning 40 and thinking about freezing my eggs, and the experts told me that the healthier I am, the better the process can go.”
“I get a little emotional when I ask myself why I didn’t care about my health before this,” she added. “It just wasn’t a priority, and I didn’t know how to do it right.”
But ever since Rebel made the decision to take care of her body and health, there’s been no looking back.
More than the weight loss, it seems like the actress is happy with the lifestyle changes she’s made for herself.
“It’s not like I want to lose weight and get to around a certain number,” she told The Sun last year. “It’s more than that, it’s about dealing mentally with why I was overeating.”
