Sara Ali Khan wrote a heartfelt note on Instagram post the release of Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film, ‘Dil Bechara’. Out of the number of actors paying tribute to our late star, Sara joined in and drew a parallel between him and his co-star, her father, Saif Ali Khan.
Posting two pictures, one of Sushant Singh Rajput and Saif Ali Khan, and the second with the two of them, the director of ‘Dil Bechara’, Mukesh Chhabra, and debutante actress Sanjana Sanghi, she captioned “This is to the last thing you two have in common- #DilBechara. Now on Disney Hotstar!”
About the two “gentlemen” Sara wrote “The only two gentlemen that have spoken to me about Sartre, Van Gogh, telescopes and constellations, guitars, The Northern Lights, cricket, Pink Floyd, Nusrat Saab and acting techniques.”
Sara Ali Khan made her debut in Bollywood beside Sushant Singh Rajput in Kedarnath directed by Abhishek Kapoor. And took to Instagram to celebrate Sushant’s last film with her father.
Remembering her first co-star she also posted a throwback picture from the set of Kedarnath with a broken heart emoji. In this black and white picture, Sushant can be seen laughing with Sara sitting beside him.
Sushant’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’ premiered on Disney+Hotstar on Friday, July 24 and has already encompassed its audience with Sushant and Sanjana’s beautiful performance on screen. Of course, it serves as a reminder of a good soul lost too soon.
‘Dil Bechara’ is a Hindi adaptation of John Green’s novel, The Fault In Our Stars which was also adapted as a Hollywood film of the same name starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. The plot follows the love story of couple, both who have cancer, trying to find a ‘normal’ in a life that is uncertain and unpredictable in every way.
Sushant’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’ begins and ends with a tribute to him. In the start in holds a black and white video of him playing the guitar with one of his quotes that says “Perhaps the difference between what is miserable, and that which is spectacular, lies in the leap of faith #selfmusing,”
It also ends with a montage of pictures from behind the scenes during the making of the film with the message “You will always be missed”
From the film industry more than a few have taken to praising and remembering Sushant Singh Rajput with the release of his last film, like Riteish Deshmukh, Taapsee Pannu and Ankita Lokhande.
His ‘Dil Bechara’ co-star Sanjana Sanghi also marked the release by writing “My Manny, I hope you’re looking over us, blessing us, and smiling upon us as we are, looking up at you, searching for you, in equal parts awe and disbelief. As @castingchhabra so correctly said, how could both our debut films ever be his last? Life is just so not fair.”
