Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall have not fallen out
With the absence of the character of Samantha in the new reboot of the ‘S– and the City’ series on HBO Max, lots of speculations arose that Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall (who play the characters of Carrie Bradshaw and Samantha Jones in the series respectively) were having a feud between them.
Owing to these rumors, Sarah Jessica Parker took to Instagram to address Cattrall’s absence from the show and debunked some of these speculations.
Sarah posted a clip of the trailer for the upcoming series on her Instagram page on Sunday. In reaction to this, one fan commented, “Happy to see you back but will miss Kim/Samantha,” to which Parker replied, “We will too. We loved her so. X.”
To another fan’s similar comment enquiring about Cattrall’s absence from the show, Sarah remarked, “She will always be there. And we are so excited. X.”
Kim Cattrall, who is now 64, has publicly commented that she will not be returning to the franchise again altogether, according to PEOPLE magazine.
After an Instagram feud arose on the topic that Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall were having some sort of “beef” between them, Parker took it upon herself to clear any misunderstandings.
“No. I don’t dislike her [Kim Cattrall]. I’ve never said that. Never would. Samantha isn’t part of this story,” she said. “But she will always be part of us. No matter where we are or what we do. X.” This seemed to satisfy the fans’ curiosities.
And things are cool between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall after all!
