On Friday, Selena Gomez debuted her blonde hair through her Rare Beauty page on Instagram. We weren’t even done gushing over her new look when the 28-year-old singer stepped out in L.A giving us another look at her new tresses.
Looking casually chic, Selena went for an all-black outfit which perfectly let her newly dyed blonde hair pop. Styling for the occasion, she spent the Oscars night grabbing dinner with her friends at Nobu.
Gomez’s friend Anna Collins gave us a glimpse of the blonde beauty – posting a picture of Selena on her Instagram story. “Fresh blow out skin on the ten ooooooh she ready,” Collins captioned the shot of Gomez smiling.
Selena spent most of her year in New York City, where she was shooting her upcoming Hulu series Only Murders in the Building. With the wrap of the series, Selena dyed her dark hair blonde and headed back to the West Coast.
Giving us an insight of the upcoming series, Gomez spoke in February, “It’s kind of a dramedy, so there’s moments that are real and then there are other moments that are complete chaos and hilarious. I’m working with Steve Martin and Martin Short and if you don’t know their work, by the way, they’re pretty amazing people to be around.”
It was then that she revealed she would “one thousand percent” dye her hair blonde again.
Selena had previously sported blonde tresses for a brief time in 2017.
She also revealed that she has been keeping herself busy with movies and music. “I will be doing movies. I will be doing more movies. I’m really excited,” she said, adding that her music career was very active too. “I am making music. I’m constantly making music.”
The singer has been actively involved in raising awareness around the pandemic too.
Doing her bit, Selena Gomez asked 5 countries and the EU to Donate Extra Covid-19 vaccine doses.
Taking to Twitter, Selena called on to world leaders from Italy, Spain, France, the US, and New Zealand on Saturday to step up support for global vaccine equity as part of Global Citizen’s VAXLIVE campaign.
Some of these leaders heeded to Gomez’s call and responded.
Hosted by Gomez, The VAX LIVE : The Concert to Reunite the World will air on May 8. It aims to ensure equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines around the world by calling on world leaders to donate surplus COVID-19 vaccines or make financial commitments to vulnerable countries.
Airing globally, the event will feature performances from by Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, J Balvin, H.E.R., and more.
