The “Red” hitmaker took to social media to celebrate the annual event and give a special shout-out to Nashville-based indie music retailer Grimey’s New and Pre-Loved Music. “Happy Record Store Day!” she wrote in her Instagram Stories.  “Honored to be this year’s Global Ambassador and glad we get to celebrate these sacred & important places now more than ever,” she added.

She also included a mural of her face imprinted on the record store’s wall outside.  “Thanks @grimeys for the mural, I am overwhelmed,” she added in the caption. Taylor Swift’s mural is a recreation of this year’s Record Store Day logo.

In late January this year, the “Bad Blood” singer got named RSD’s first global ambassador to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the annual celebration. “RSD AMBASSADOR (Taylor’s Version),” wrote the organizers doing a humorous play on the recent re-recordings of her classic Fearless and Red albums.

“Thanks to @taylorswift for putting on the sash and serving as the first-ever GLOBAL RECORD STORE DAY AMBASSADOR, helping us celebrate the culture of the independent record store around the world,” they wrote on their Instagram.

What is she doing for this year’s RSD?

According to reports, Swift is dropping a 7″ of Folklore bonus track “The Lakes” with its orchestral version as the B-side for this year’s event. She has also included with it a charity benefit album Portraits of Her that pays tribute to female artists and music industry professionals while also raising funds for nonprofit movement We Are Moving the Needle.

She has also supported RSD a couple of times in the past and offered special versions of her albums 1989 and Speak Now, and a 7″ vinyl single version of Haim’s single “Gasoline.”
