The 32-year-old “Love Story” hitmaker took to her Instagram to share the news of the release along with expressing her gratitude towards Jenny Han, the writer of the original book on which the series is based. She also revealed that “This Love (Taylor’s Version)”  will be available for listening on streaming platforms at midnight on Friday.

She has also dropped the new 1989 merch

Taylor Swift also released merchandise alongside dropping This Love (Taylor’s Version). The merch follows the theme of her album 1989 as well as her third studio album, Speak Now and is available on her official website. This has also made the fans speculate that 1989 (Taylor’s Version) and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) could be dropping sometime soon.

“We could go on and on, on and on about how excited we are for #ThisLoveTaylorsVersion and @thesummeritp…,” the official Taylor Nation account tweeted. “But instead, we’ll just drop The Old Taylor Collection. Available now while supplies last at http://store.taylorswift.com!” it added.

A little bit on her other re-recorded releases

Taylor Swift’s This Love (Taylor’s Version) is a dream-pop ballad that includes soulful vocals from the singer as she sings, This love is good/ This love is bad/ This love is alive back from the dead,” over clips from the upcoming series. The singer had previously re-recorded songs from Fearless and Red. This will mark her second re-recorded track from 1989. Last year she released the album’s fifth single “Wildest Dreams” which went viral on TikTok. This prompted her to release “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” much to the surprise of her fans.

“Hi! Saw you guys got Wildest Dreams trending on tiktok, thought you should have my version 😘😘😘😘,” she tweeted back then. She added a link to “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version) alongside it.
