Taylor Swift To Re-Record Her 2012 Banger ‘Red’ And We Are Rooting For It

Taylor Swift originally wrote ‘Red’ to heal from a heartbreak

What prompted Taylor Swift to re-record ‘Red’?

Great day for all the Swifties! Taylor Swift announced that she will be re-recording her hit album ‘Red’ which was originally her fourth-ever studio album.

But what suddenly prompted the 31-year-old pop sensation to make this decision? Taylor Swift made a post on Friday declaring her announcement and why she chose to re-record ‘Red’.

“I’ve always said that the world is a different place for the heartbroken. It moves on a different axis, at a different speed. Time skips backwards and forwards fleetingly. The heartbroken might go through thousands of micro-emotions a day trying to figure out how to get through it without picking up the phone to hear that old familiar voice. In the land of heartbreak, moments of strength, independence, and devil-may-care rebellion are intricately woven together with grief, paralyzing vulnerability and hopelessness. Imagining your future might always take you on a detour back to the past. And this is all to say, that the next album I’ll be releasing is my version of Red,” wrote the Grammy Award-winning musician.

Taylor Swift went on to explain how experiencing a heartbreak originally inspired ‘Red’ and how writing the album gave her a sense of catharsis which ultimately helped her in healing from her pain.

“Musically and lyrically, ‘Red’ resembled a heartbroken person. It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild, and tortured by memories past,” she wrote.

“Sometimes you need to talk it over (over and over and over) for it to ever really be… over. Like your friend who calls you in the middle of the night going on and on about their ex, I just couldn’t stop writing,” she added.

Her decision to re-record this album has taken fans on a frenzy!

Taylor Swift’s re-recorded version of ‘Red’ will be titled, “Red (Taylor’s Version)” and fans will be able to hear it on November 19. And what’s more, is that the album will feature all 30 songs that were originally meant to appear on the album including 11 never-heard-before songs. In fact, one of the songs is going to be 10 minutes long too. As if you couldn’t get enough of Swift’s delightful music already! According to Variety, Swifties have already begun speculating that this 10-minute song will be a re-recorded version of the singer’s hit song ‘All Too Well’.

Either way, neither the fans nor we can be anymore excited for the album to release later this year!
