“The Grammys Remain Corrupt”, Weeknd Boycotts The Grammy Awards

“I will no longer allow my label to submit my music to the Grammys.”

The famous singer and songwriter ‘The Weeknd‘ recently told that he would be boycotting the upcoming Grammy awards. According to sources, The Weeknd stated, “Because of the secret committees, I will no longer allow my label to submit my music to the Grammys.”

The singer came up with this decision when his album After Hours and hit single `Blinding Lights` were not considered in the Grammy awards nominations. The Blinding Lights song has been in the Top 10 songs for 52 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.

When the final list of nominees of the Grammy awards came, The Weeknd wrote, “The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans, and the industry transparency.” Soon after this, the singer got a lot of support from Drake and Halsey.

The Weeknd also stated that his three Grammys — for Starboy, Beauty Behind the Madness, and Earned It, mean nothing to him. `

“I use a s—— punch as an analogy,” the singer said, “remain corrupt.”

He also added, “Because it just kind of hit me out of nowhere. I definitely felt … I felt things. I don’t know if it was sadness or anger. I think it was just confusion. I just wanted answers. Like, What happened?”

The Weeknd said, “I have three Grammys, which mean nothing to me now, obviously. It’s not like, Oh, I want the Grammy! It’s just that this happened, and I’m down to get in front of the fire, as long as it never happens again.”
