Tom Holland Stops Interview To See Zendaya At The Spider-Man Premiere

Everything, including Tom Holland, comes to a halt when Zendaya appears.

Last night, Tom Holland made it clear how infatuated he is with Zendaya when he abruptly ended his interview with Entertainment Tonight to watch her go down the red carpet. The interview was being taped by ET when Holland interrupted their conversation because he thought his girlfriend was going to walk onto the carpet. The footage of the moment is available on Twitter.

“I think Zendaya just showed up,” he said, noting the swelling applause from the audience. “That sounds like Zendaya just showed up.” To see if it was her, he moved away from the camera and looked out at the carpet. He and ET’s reporter Nischelle Turner then stood together and watched her arrive.

While Tom Holland is clearly enamoured with his 25-year-old co-star and girlfriend Zendaya, the Spider-Man franchise and his role in it have also blown him away.

He told ET, “I honestly feel a little bit numb. This has been the most incredible experience. This whole journey from the day I got cast. My agent’s here and we were just talking about the moment I got my first callback, and we thought, ‘Oh, wow, maybe I could actually get this film.’ And here we are promoting Spider-Man 3. I am blown away. To share it with my friends and my family. Honestly, this means the world.”

It also appears that there may be more to Holland’s Spider-Man story, with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige telling ET that he wants the leading man back for the next superhero trilogy series, which was announced earlier this month by No Way Home producer Amy Pascal.

“Well, that’s great news,” Holland gushed. “That’s awesome. Kevin is the king. Amy is the queen. They’re like my parents. I love them to bits. And if they’ll have me back, I’ll be there.”

Tom Holland returned to the carpet after speaking with ET, where he posed for photos with the Spider-Man cast and a few with Zendaya.

While Holland wore a dark brown suit, Zendaya wore a Valentino black mesh dress with a plunging neckline, a thigh-high slit, and black spiderweb-like sequins throughout, keeping the spider concept she brought to the film’s London photo call alive. She paired the outfit with a pair of glistening black heels and finished the look with cornrow braids.

Following Tom Holland’s GQ interview, in which he acknowledged his relationship with Zendaya after suspicion began in July when they were spotted kissing in his car, the duo has made a series of public appearances.

On December 17, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in theatres.
