Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are back making headlines for their blood-drinking rituals. The couple, who celebrated their engagement by drinking each other’s blood, have reportedly been issued a message from none other than the vampire community.
In an interview in question for the cover of Glamour UK, Megan Fox discussed their blood-drinking rituals at length saying, “Yeah. So, I guess to drink each other’s blood might mislead people or people are imagining us with goblets and we’re like Game of Thrones, drinking each other’s blood. It’s just a few drops, but yes, we do consume each other’s blood on occasion for ritual purposes only.”
“I’m much more controlled. I read tarot cards and I’m into astrology and I’m doing all these metaphysical practices and meditations. And I do rituals on new moons and full moons, and all these things. And so, when I do it, it’s a passage or it is used for a reason. And it is controlled where it’s like, ‘Let’s shed a few drops of blood and each drink it.’ He’s much more haphazard and hectic and chaotic, where he’s willing to just cut his chest open with broken glass and be like, ‘Take my soul,’” she said, dramatically mimicking her beloved’s alleged chest-bearing, chest-slashing passion.
When the interviewer asked whether that “actually happens?”
“It doesn’t not happen,” Fox responded, laughing. “Let me tell you. Maybe not exactly like that, but a version of that has happened many times.”
Megan Fox’s quote went viral and Belfazaar Ashantison, the co-founder of the New Orleans Vampire Association (NOVA), told the couple to ‘take proper precautions’ when drinking each other’s blood including testing for potential diseases and blood-borne illnesses.
He added that most vampires do extensive research on the person before drinking their blood. Father Sebastiaan, the founder of Endless Night Vampire Ball, also added to TMZ that they should be safe with withdrawing blood. Ashantison says it took him 6 months to get to know his blood donor and feel comfortable drinking their blood, and they still get tested every 3 months just to be sure.
While Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly continue with their bizarre Vampire traditions, we only wish them safe practices.
