Kristen Bell and Kirby Howell-Baptiste scams millions of dollars in their upcoming movie, Queenpins
Kristen Bell and Kirby Howell-Baptiste have once again joined forces for their upcoming movie, Queenpins and the first trailer is out now. The duo has previously worked together in ‘The Good Place.’ The first trailer for this crime-comedy, which is based on a real-life story of two women who goes from middle class to multimillionaires with scam coupon ring business, dropped on Thursday, July 8.
Kristen Bell starrer Queenpins is a real-life based story. Bell will be seen playing the role of a housewife Connie Kaminski, who is best friends with Howell-Baptiste’s JoJo Johnson. The two friends share a common interest in extreme couponing. However, soon they try to go down a dangerous road and start a coupon ring business and scam millions of dollars from mega-corporations. After listening about such a fast success of a business, a police office (Paul Walter Hauser) and a driven U.S. postal inspector (Vince Vaughn) tries to go down to the roots of this scam and plans to take down the two best friends.
Along with Kristen Bell, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Paul Walter Hauser, and Vince Vaughn, The Queenpins, also stars Joel McHale and singer Bebe Rexha. The movie is directed and written by Gita Pullapilly and Aron Gaudet and is produced by STX Entertainment, the studio which was also behind ‘Hustlers.’ Queenspins will hit the theatres on September 10 and will also stream on Paramount+ along with the theatres.
Kristen is on the roll this year
However, this is not the only Kristen Bell film that we will get to see soon. Kristen has recently joined Allison Janney and Ben Platt for their upcoming comedy movie, ‘The People We Hate at the Wedding.’ The ‘Mom’ fame will be playing the role of the mom of two struggling American siblings, Alice (Bell) and Paul (Platt). The siblings were forced to go on a family wedding of their rich half-sister along with their mom. The movie will follow a dramatic but hilarious angle moving forward.
The story is based on a novel by Grant Ginder and will be directed by Claire Scanlon. The film will be a product of Amazon Studio’s partnership with FilmNation, along with their other projects including, ‘The Big Sick,’ ‘The Map of Tiny Perfect Things’ and ‘Late Night.’ The production will begin in September. Kristen Bell has also made a good career in voice acting and currently, she is acting as the narrator of the rebooted Gossip Girl series.
