Why Is Zendaya’s Madame Tussauds Wax Figure Getting Mixed Reviews?

Zendaya’s latest replica hasn’t gone over well with some of her fans.

On Tuesday, Madame Tussaud London debuted its new Zendaya wax figure, which was inspired by her 2016 appearance on the red carpet of the Humane Society of the United States’ “To The Rescue Gala,” where she donned a bright fuchsia costume.

According to Pop Sugar, Tim Waters, general manager of Madame Tussauds London, said, “Zendaya just exudes cool. Not only that, she uses her celebrity status to join conversations, thoughtfully, on important social issues. She is unapologetically herself — and we, along with her fans, love that about her. With rumours circulating that Zendaya is soon to become a Londoner herself, the timing to pay homage to her at Madame Tussauds London could not be better.”

Zendaya paid a visit to Madame Tussauds in San Francisco in 2015 to see her two wax figures, and she looked pleased with the outcome.

But while the Spider-Man: No Way Home actress may be happy, some people believe Madame Tussauds London did a fantastic job, while others say they fell short. A few others also believe that Zendaya’s wax figures exudes the vibes of someone completely different.

As one Twitter user put it, “How does this both look like her and look nothing like her at the same time??? Like when you zoom in close to the face it looks like her a bit but absolutely not from a distance??? Usually it’s the opposite. What sorcery is this?” Another said, “I see what they’re going for, but the proportions of every aspect are a little off.” “Zendaya deserved better,” according to a third.

Despite the negative feedback, other people rushed to the museum’s rescue, with one user tweeting, “Am I tripping because I think it looks like her…it looks better than a lot other figures we’ve seen.” “Why is everyone acting like it doesn’t look like her?” said another.

Jimmy Kimmel’s wax figure is currently on display at Madame Tussauds Hollywood’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live Experience.” Shawn Mendes’ Madame Tussauds Wax Figure in Berlin is unlike any other. You may lie down next to it for a cuddly photo opportunity. And Ariana Grande’s statue at Madame Tussauds London received criticism on social media following its unveiling.

In May of this year, Kris Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian were the last of the Kardashian-Jenner women to receive their own wax figures. Zac Efron flashed his 2(X)IST Underwear when comparing his six-pack to that of his wax figure on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The most recent Zendaya wax figure will be on display and available to the public starting tomorrow.
