Zayn Malik Is Fighting For “Transparency And Inclusion” In The Grammys

Grammys is getting burned!

We think that Zayn Malik is pretty displeased with the Grammys as the singer has again clapped back at the organization. On March 15, when the whole world was watching the Grammy Awards, Zayn Malik was tweeting about the Recording Academy on his social media. The singer is keen to keep the pressure on the Awards.

Zayn Malik tweeted, “@recordingacad are moving in inches and we need to move in miles,” just ahead of the show on Sunday 14 March. The 28-year-old said, “I’m keeping the pressure on & fighting for transparency & inclusion. We need to make sure we are honoring and celebrating ‘creative excellence’ of ALL. End the secret committees. Until then … #f—thegrammys.”

Zayn’s tweet got over 776.3k likes and was retweeted almost 293k times. It is sure that Zayn Malik is going to keep the pressure on Grammys until they become transparent with their process.

Zayn Malik said f— the Grammys

This is not the first time that Zayn Malik has said f— the Grammys. The Pillowtalk singer had earlier also tweeted about the awards and said that only people who “shake hands and send gifts” get the nomination considerations. He also commented that he will send a “basket of confectionary” next year.

After this tweet, a lot of speculations were made about the singer, and the internet was divided into two. Zayn’s fans were quick to take his side and defended the singer. But the other part was quite confused as to why the singer was dissing the Grammys. Some even speculated that Zayn Malik was indirectly dissing former band member Harry Styles for his first Grammy nomination.

But the singer cleared the rumors around his last tweet and explained that he only wanted transparency in the voting process. He tweeted, “My tweet was not personal or about eligibility but was about the need for inclusion and the lack of transparency of the nomination process and the space that creates and allows favoritism, racism, and netwokring politics to influence the voting process.”

Zayn Malik’s album Nobody Is Listening was not nominated for the Grammys as it got released after the nomination process. Hence, no one is sure whether why the singer is holding such a strong grudge against the Awards. Nobody Is Listening got released on January 15, 2021.

The Weeknd also said that Grammys is “corrupt”

Along with Zayn Malik, The Weeknd had also talked about the Grammys and called the awards “corrupt”. The pop star was not nominated for his album After Hours and hit single Binding Lights which have been on top of the charts. The Weeknd said, “I have three Grammys, which mean nothing to me now, obviously. It’s not like, Oh, I want the Grammy! It’s just that this happened, and I’m down to get in front of the fire, as long as it never happens again.”
