On Friday, Kanye West’s Childhood Home was filled with signs promoting Drake’s upcoming album
Another chapter has now added in the world-famous beef between Drake and Kanye West as former’s fans vandalized Ye’s childhood home in Chicago, last weekend. The home, which was originally owned by West’s late mother, Donda West, during the childhood period of the rapper, was violated by some signs left over there assumable by Drake’s fans, which promoted the ‘Lover Boy’ singers highly anticipated upcoming album, ‘Certified Lover Boy.’
The first sign read, “CLB COMING SOON,” in reference to Drake’s upcoming album release, while another said “45 44 BURNT OUT,” which was a line from Tripppie Redd’s “Betrayal” that features a diss verse from Drake. The violators also pointed towards a social media influencer, Justin Laboy, who has been largely supporting Kanye’s DONDA album as the middle poster outside Kanye West’s Childhood home read, “F*** JUSTIN LABOY.” This Chicago estate was earlier sold by Ye’s mom in 2003, however, the 44-year-old rapper bought his home back in 2018 for about $225,000, according to The Chicago Tribune.
This incident took place when Kanye West was busy building a replica of his childhood home inside Soldier Field for his third Donda listening event on Friday. However, the ‘Runaway’ singer seems to be unbothered by the incident, which is a clear sign of violation.
Many internet users feel like this incident is the result of a now-deleted IG post, posted by West some time back which showed Drake’s Toronto home address. The post included Drake’s house number and street location via Apple Maps. Meanwhile, some other people think that this is just because of the stirring competition between the upcoming albums of these rappers.
On Friday, Drizzy made an appearance on CLB during ESPN’s SportsCenter and held up a cardboard sign that read: “CLB. September 3,” which pointed towards the fact that the ‘God’s Plan’ singer is all set to release his most awaited album ‘Certified Lover Boy’ on Sept, 3. At the same time, the release date listed for Kanye’s ‘DONDA’ on Apple music is now Sept 5. The clash between these two upcoming albums is being assumed as the main reason for this whole incident as the beef between these stars is well known by their fans and supporters as well.
Meanwhile, Kanye has been busy hosting various listening events for the promotion of his upcoming album in Atlanta & Chicago for a few months now. The rapper was also seen getting support from his ex-wife and Television fame Kim Kardashian along with their four kids, who were also present in his 3rd ‘DONDA’ listening event last Thursday. But what was the most surprising moment of that event was when Kim made an appearance on the stage in her Balenciaga wedding gown after almost 5 months of filing a divorce from West. However, this was just one of the stunts performed by the ‘DONDA’ team that day.
