Gwyneth Paltrow Defends Kourtney Kardashian Over Plagiarism Accusations

She believes in women supporting women!

Gwyneth Paltrow is not here for the hate against Kourtney Kardashian. The 43-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star unveiled her new wellness brand titled Poosh in 2019. However, lots of people seemed to think that she was blatantly plagiarizing the former’s brand Goop.

On Sunday, the 49-year-old Iron Man actress urged her followers to send her questions on her Instagram Stories. One follower drew a comparison between her wellness brand and the Kardashian’s lifestyle brand. This prompted a very passionate reply from the actress.


“Are you upset that Poosh copied you?” asked the fan. “This idea that women need to be in competition is legacy patriarchy bull—-, there is room for EVERY woman to fulfill her dreams,” replied Paltrow. She went on to point out the internal misogyny in the statement and confessed that she used to think that way too, previously.


“I used to fall prey to this kind of thinking years ago, so I understand where it comes from,” she wrote. So, it seems like Gwyneth Paltrow is in complete support of Kourtney Kardashian and her wellness brand regardless of what anyone has to say.

What is the controversy with Poosh and Goop?

Ever since Poosh came out, there have been multiple comparisons between it and Goop, with critics emphasizing that Gwyneth Paltrow got ripped off by Kourtney Kardashian. A lot of people even dragged the latter for the content on her website, calling her “signature salad”, a dish made of sliced tomatoes, sliced hard-boiled egg and avocado — “sad” and “not a salad.”


The Kardashian star on the other hand has described her company as “the modern guide to living your best life.” According to her, she came up with the brand because she “felt that there was something missing in the healthy lifestyle space.” But it seems like fans did not take it well.

In fact, even Paltrow herself has not been exempt from criticism from the consumers. Time and again, her brand has been called out for promoting and selling expensive and bizarre beauty and wellness products and treatments.

However, she seems to think that every woman has a right to climb the stairs to the top.

“Now I get so happy when I see new wellness businesses there is a place for all of us plus @kourtneykardash is a really good person,” she wrote. She also admitted to being a supporter of Kardashian and her hubby Travis Scott. “and also #KRAVISFOREVER,” she added.
