“I COULD SCREAM!”: Billie Eilish To Host SNL In December With Paul Rudd

“Happier Than Ever.”

Grammy-winning singer Billie Eilish is all set to pull double duty at SNL in December, serving as both host and musical guest for the Dec. 11 episode, NBC announced Thursday.

The singer is returning to the show after two years, as she previously appeared for the first time as a musical guest on the Season 45 premiere in 2019, hosted by Woody Harrelson.

She will be promoting her sophomore album, “Happier Than Ever,” which launched at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Billie Eilish was surely happier than ever when her new SNL gig was announced.

She reacted to the news on Thursday, Nov. 18, by posting to her Instagram an image of SNL‘s iconic lineup bulletin board.

The “Lost Cause” artist added, “See you then!!”

After Billie, actor Paul Rudd will then close out SNL‘s calendar year on Dec. 18, alongside musical guest Charli XCX.

Rudd is no stranger to the Studio 8H stage. He’ll be joining the coveted Five-Timers Club, after previously hosting in 2008, 2010, 2013, and 2019.

The Season 47 of Saturday Night Live has already seen some amazing stars make their hosting debut including Kim Kardashian, Kieran Culking among others. For the upcoming show, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings actor Simu Liu will be taking on the hosting duty along with Saweetie as the musical guest.

It certainly has been a big year for Billie.

Not only did she release her second studio album, but also won two Grammy awards.

In an interview with Rolling Stone published in June, Billie said that she wanted her new record to reflect her evolution since breaking out on the music scene with 2019’s critically-acclaimed When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?.

“Anytime I hear somebody say, ‘Oh, your songs sound the same,’ it gets me,” she said. “That’s one thing I really try hard to not do. I think the people that say that have literally only heard ‘Bad Guy’ and ‘Therefore I Am.'”

On the day of the release for Happier Than Ever Billie Eilish took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the album, talking about her experience when making the album, and more. The caption in the new post read:

“I can’t even process it. this was the most fulfilling most satisfying and profound experience I’ve ever had with my music. Finneas and I were just on cloud 9 making this album I feel.. I love every song on this project so so much it literally scares me thinking about putting it out into the world for anyone to listen to.”

“I feel like crying. I grew so much in the process of making this album and experienced so much self realization and self reflection. I wish I could go back and make this album all over again because it was some of the best nights in my life.”
