Jennifer Lopez said she’s “never been better” and having “the best time of my life” with her ex-fiancé, Ben Affleck.
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Jennifer Lopez, 51, opened up about her life saying, “I’m super happy. I know people are always wondering. How are you? What’s going on? Are you okay? This is it. I’ve never been better.”
“And I want my people who care about me because I care about them so much, to know that I’ve really gotten to a place in my life where I’m great on my own. And I think once you get to that place, then amazing things happen to you that you never imagine in your life happening again. And so that is where I’m at.” She also added without mentioning the actor and director, “And I love all the love that’s coming my way right now and all of the good wishes. And I just want everybody to know that it’s the best time. It’s the best time of my life.”
In 2002, Jennifer and Ben had a short-lived engagement and appeared together in Jersey Girl and Gigli but cancelled their 2003 wedding just a few days before they were about to tie the knot. In January of 2004, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck officially got separated.
After Lopez’s split from fiancé Alex Rodriguez, 45, in April, this year, she had a romantic reunion with Affleck, 48.
Recently, the couple was spotted together on a trip to Montana. In late April, they were seen together outside her Los Angeles home too. While on the Fourth of July weekend, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were snapped cuddling, as they walked towards the Hamptons.
The 51-year-old singer and actress went on to recollect her time while filming the upcoming rom-com, Marry Me, in the Dominican Republican, that how being there motivated her to write happy music.
Fascinatingly during that time, rumours of her split with Alex had spread, before they officially announced their breakup.
Alex, 45, was also photographed visiting the actress as they tried to work on their relationship. Although, Lopez said, “I was in the Dominican Republic doing the movie, and while I was there, I had got to a point in my life where I really felt good on my own. I’m good. I love my life right now. I love what I’m doing. I love where I’m at. I love the person that I am continually kind of evolving into and becoming, and that kind of joy, that kind of happiness, that kind of love always inspires me.”
“I think some people really get inspired when they’re heartbroken. You know what I mean? To write music, when they were in pain. For me, it’s the opposite. When I feel really good, I really feel like I do my best music. And so I got back from the Dominican Republic and I immediately notified everybody that I know and was like, I want to get in the studio,” she said.
