Kylie Jenner got vulnerable about her postpartum weight gain
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star previously mentioned how her last pregnancy seemed to be extremely complicated and how her body suffered damage that she is still recovering from. The 24-year-old took to her Instagram to share a video talking about her postpartum weight gain and the fact that she barely managed to lose 40 pounds of the total 60 she gained.
“I earned 60 lbs (in kg I’m about 27) in this pregnancy,” she wrote alongside a video of her walking on the treadmill. “I have lost 40 lbs (or 18 kg) and I am trying to be healthy and patient,” she continued. “Walking / pilates is my favorite combination,” she added.
“I just want to tell mothers that postpartum wasn’t easy,” she wrote. “It is very difficult. It is not easy either mentally, physically or spiritually. I didn’t want to go back to social media as if nothing were out of respect for the other mothers who are going through this moment, “ she continued.
“Showing up might seem very simple but all this pressure complicates things and it wasn’t easy for me to go back to showing myself in public,” she concluded.
The Kylie Cosmetics CEO also revealed that there is no special ingredient to weight loss and that she is just trying to be healthy after the birth of her son whom she welcomed to the world in February.
A few weeks prior to this, Kylie Jenner had opened up about postpartum weight loss that her hard work and dedication towards exercising had brought about. She revealed to her fans that her abdominal muscles were contracting as she posed in a crop top for social media.
