Matt Damon has dropped the price of his beautiful mansion by more than $3 million
Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana Barroso, have lowered the price of their Los Angeles Mansion by over $3 million, seven months after putting it up for sale. The couple’s 13,500 square feet home has been in the market since January with an initial price of $21 million. However, according to New York Post, the 50-year-old actor is not able to get any buyer for his extremely beautiful home yet. And so he decided to drop it’s price to $17.9 million in the hope of attracting some potential buyers.
Reportedly, Matt Damon is selling his big gorgeous L. A mansion because he and his family have now shifted to New York, where they have bought a 6,000-square-foot Brooklyn Heights penthouse worth $16.75 million.
Their new home is located in the same building where John Krasinski and Emily Blunt live. The ‘Bourne Identity’ star bought this mansion back in 2012, where he paid $15 million for this stunning property. And so, even after dropping the rate, Matt will still get a good profit after selling the house.
Matt Damon’s Mansion was originally built in 2005 and is designed by Grant Kirkpatrick of KAA Design.
The property consists of seven-bedroom and 10-bathroom in total. Some great attraction’s of the ‘Stillwater’ star’s home includes the great room, which is composed of a living room with a large stone fireplace and a dining enclave with a wall of glass, a covered lanai for an al fresco dining moment, a spa room and a private terrace with sitting area.
Along with this, Matt’s mansion also includes many outdoor sitting areas, a big pool, a game room for the kids, an office, and a well-equipped gym. This place is also full of various entertainment sources including a media room, separate children’s play area, and a koi pond. However, the place that might draw the most attention is the underground wine cellar and tasting room.
The designer has also kept a lot in mind while designing the most important room for their owners, called the owner’s room, which consists of two separate dressing rooms, a private balcony with an amazing view, and a bathroom with a built-in tub and a glass-enclosed shower.
Matt got emotional at Cannes
This year, at the Cannes Film Festival, Matt Damon represented his most recent film, ‘Stillwater.’ During the screening of his movie, Matt was seen crying after it got a 5-minute long standing ovation from the audience. Later, the 50-year-old star confessed that he was feeling overwhelmed and that he missed sitting in a theatre. “I just kind of got overwhelmed at the moment because I just hadn’t done that in almost two years. It was great. I was happy. I was just very moved by it,” he said.
