Angelina Jolie, 46, and five of her six children walked the red carpet Monday night at the premiere of her upcoming Marvel movie “Eternals.” The eye catching moment was the fact that each child wore a different ensemble chosen from Jolie’s closet and previously worn by the actress herself.
“My kids are all mixed with vintage, and in my old Oscars dress,” Jolie told Entertainment Tonight while walking the red carpet. “We did all vintage and upcycled my old stuff.”
Jolie’s oldest daughter Zahara, 16, wore the silver draped Elie Saab Haute Couture gown that the actress wore to the 2014 Oscars.
Shiloh, 15, wore a tan slip dress that Jolie wore to the French Apidology Observatory where she presented eight female beekeepers with their diplomas as part of the “Women for bees” project.
Knox, 13, went for a layered look, wearing a dark green blazer, skirt and pants. And Maddox, 20, rocked an all-black blazer and pants look, while Vivienne, 13, opted for all-white in a tee-length dress and matching cardigan.
As for Jolie, she wore an olive green floor length, strapless gown from Balmain’s Resort 2022 collection that she paired with a string of bracelets, simple earrings from Tiffany & Co. jewels and a silver lip cuff. Her matching pointed-toe heels could be seen peering out from the bottom of her gown.
Despite all of the children opting for old Jolie outfits, the “Maleficent” actress joked they would not be choosing the gold bodysuit she wears in “Eternals.”
“Would you wanna see your mother wearing that?” Jolie quipped while talking to Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t know, they haven’t seen the movie, but your mom walks in with a gold spandex outfit and gold hair, they’re like, ‘What do you do for a living? What are you? Get back in your robe.'”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s children weren’t the only who made an appearance at the premiere. Jolie’s co-star Salma Hayek also stepped out with her 14-year-old daughter, Valentina, who praised her mom on the red carpet. “She’s cool,” the teen said of her mother.
Eternals premiere was one of the biggest events from Marvel Studios this year.
Directed by Academy Award winner Chloe Zhao, Eternals stars Angelina Jolie as Thena, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Gemma Chan as Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as Druig, and Kit Harington as Dane Whitman. Harish Patel, who is also a part of the film, was not seen at the event.
Eternals is set to introduce a team of ten new superheroes into the MCU, who’ve lived on Earth and secretly guided humanity for 7,000 years, just that they kept away from human conflicts. While Thena is the cousin of Thanos, the film also features Marvel’s first deaf character in Makkari.
