“Angrezi Medium” Trailer: Irrfan Khan Is Back To Bring Another Heartfelt And Relatable Story To Life On Screen

Remember Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar starrer comedy-drama Hindi Medium that won hearts, not only in India but was also a blockbuster abroad? The reason it worked so well was the amazing performances of its cast bringing to life a beautiful, humourous, and relatable story. And now, the producers of the franchise are back with another installment “Angrezi Medium” which promises to be even better than its predecessor!

While the star cast this time includes big names like Kareena Kapoor Khan, it is the chemistry of Irrfan Khan and Radhika Maadan that infuses the right amount of emotion into the fun-filled trailer, which narrates the story of Irrfan and Radhika as father and daughter who live in Rajasthan and the unique bond they share.

The trailer of Angrezi Medium begins with Irrfan Khan as a proud father as his daughter is honored for passing her 12th boards with flying colors. Trouble arises when Madan shares her childhood dream of pursuing her higher studies in London with her father who, at first, isn’t happy with her idea, though he eventually gives in.

But the fees of getting his daughter in a foreign university is in crores and Khan, though limited by his financial constraints, continues making efforts to ensure that his daughter’s dream is fulfilled.

Apart from Irrfan Khan, Radhika Madan, and Kareena Kapoor Khan as a cop in London, the supporting cast of Angrezi Medium includes actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Kiku Sharda, Deepak Dobriyal, Dimple Kapadia, Manu Rishi, and Ranvir Shorey.

Before the trailer’s launch, the makers of the film had released a video where Irrfan spoke to his fans to explain why he won’t be promoting Angrezi Medium. “I am with you and not with you. This film, Angrezi Medium, is very special to me. I truly wanted to promote this film as passionately as we made it, but there are some ‘unwanted guests’ in my body and they’re keeping me busy. I’ll keep you informed on that front,” he said.

Since March 2018, Irrfan has been in London after he was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour and reportedly underwent surgery after completing the shoot of the film.

Angrezi Medium is directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios. It is all set to hit the theaters on March 20, 2020.
