Gearbox Software’s classic Action RPG Borderlands is all set to get its own movie adaptation. Check out these new photos that give us a first peek at the movie.
The movie is simply titled “Borderlands” and is directed by Eli Roth, who starred in the 2009 Quentin Tarantino movie Inglourious Basterds. The movie’s story is written by Aaron Berg and Craig Mazin with executive production credited to Gearbox Software founder, Randy Pitchford.
These new photos of the upcoming Borderlands movie give us a look at the characters of the movie in a stylish silhouette-way. The characters in the picture are Claptrap, Lilith, Roland, Krieg, Tiny Tina and Dr. Tannis.
The Borderlands movie plot goes like this. A group of unlikely heroes known as the Vault Hunters (like in the game) led by Lilith and Roland, embark on a retrieval mission they were recruited for. Lilith forms the team at her home planet of Pandora and together they set out to find the missing daughter of the universe’s most powerful S.O.B, Atlas, while battling alien monsters and bandits along the way.
It has been confirmed that the movie is going to be set in an alternate universe than in the original games, hence not following the story the first game it gave it’s fans
