Dwayne Johnson wraps up shooting
A few weeks back, The Rock posted on his Instagram about the wrapping up of Black Adam’s shooting and he called Black Adam’s role ‘A Once In A Career Event’.
He wrote, “I knew many years ago the opportunity for me to make BLACK ADAM would be a ONCE IN A CAREER EVENT.”
“It has been my true honor to go shoulder to shoulder with over 1,000 brilliant and hungry crew of filmmakers and storytellers to bring the antihero known as, BLACK ADAM to life. This has been one for the ages and easily the hardest labor and toughest grind mentally and physically of my entire career. Worth. Every. Second,” The Rock continues.
“Love you all. Thank you all. And I’ll see you down the road. Now go have some fun with that $10,000 🤣💰 The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is changing,” he added.
During the red carpet premiere of Jungle Cruise, executive producer Hiram Gracia confirmed that the shooting hasn’t wrapped completely, but as The Rock’s shooting is completed, so it is sort of wrapped up.
“We haven’t finished yet, so we still have a few weeks left. [Dwayne] It ended, so it’s kind of the end. Black Adam is over. But we have a lot of good things going on that will, in fact, continue in Los Angeles,” the producer said.
Hiram Gracia on seeing Dwayne suit up for the first time
Dwayne Johnson bought his peak physique for his first anti-hero role. During the premiere, producer Hiram also shared his experience when he saw Dwayne suited up for the first time.
He said: “There’s moments, you know my friend, as a filmmaker where you’re like, ‘I’ll never forget that.’ When he walked out in that costume, it was… Oh, 100%. This was a baby, one of our special babies. Not only was I there, but I was also making sure I was gonna capture that moment on camera to make sure that we never forget that. You’re gonna be blown away when you see it. He’s a walking superhero. He’s been preparing for this role for I feel like over ten years, so to see it come to life in front of you. It was magical, man.”
The fan-based concept art of Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam is out, which reveals the way fans predict him in the role. But till now no official photo is out by the DC yet. DC is planning to release the movie in theaters by July 29, 2022.
