“Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker” will be hitting the theatres near you this week, peeps! Are you excited? We sure as hell are, after all, it will mark the end of an era, a journey which started way back in 1977. And looks like we are not the only ones getting nostalgic over the last film in the Star Wars franchise as its actress Daisy Ridley decided to steal *cough* um, take one item from the sets of the film and something else which “may” have been given to her.
The 27-year-old actress, who has acted in three Star Wars films including “Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker”, recently appeared on NBC’s A Little Late with Lilly Singh and shared that she has been pretty “well-behaved” for the first two movies, unlike her co-stars John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver.
“All the boys took their costumes and various bits, apparently people stole stuff,” Daisy Ridley shared. “And I’ve been so well-behaved the whole time, this time I was like, ‘I’m gonna take something.’”
So, during the Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’s shooting, her control slipped and she decided she wanted to take something as well. Daisy Ridley confessed that she took, “the ring that I wear for “Dark Rey,” and I may have been given a sword made of light (a lightsaber).” And there, she not only fulfilled what every one of us basically dreams of doing every night- stealing a coveted item from the glorious sets of Star Wars but also dropped a mini-spoiler.
Who is Dark Rey?
While the trailer shared online worldwide doesn’t mention a Dark Fey, the trailer shown to fans at the D23 Expo in August presented the character. At the very end of the trailer, Rey is seen clad in a black hooded cloak complete with a red dual lightsaber. This avatar of Rey is proof that she was or she will turn to the Dark Side of the Force.
Coming back to Daisy Ridley’s confessions on A Little Late With Lilly Singh, the actress revealed that the while the lightsaber “very exciting”, she is planning to “ask for my costume, but I haven’t asked for that yet.”
But when Lilly Singh asked Daisy Ridley if she would sell the costume on eBay, the actress said: “Basically, if I never work again, it could help me.”
Well, we will keep our eyes peeled for Rey’s costume on eBay, just in case.
