The award season is upon us and the king of all awards, The Oscars are just around the corner. We recently saw the Oscar Nominations 2020 list come out and have complied a crash course to keep you updated!!

Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker lands 11 nominations

We already saw that coming, didn’t we? Ever since the movie was released, it has been breaking all records. Joker won our hearts and now is on its way to claim some big titles in the Oscar awards 2020!

The bigger nominations of these eleven include Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor. We reckon there is some serious competition here!

Best Film award in Oscars 2020 goes to?

This category has some of the most incredible films of the decade. The nominations include Joker, Ford v Ferrari, 1917, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Little Women, Parasite, Marriage Story and The Irishman.

Who all have been nominated for the Best Actor award?

We have Cynthia Erivo (Harriet), Renee Zellweger (Judy), Charlize Theron (Bombshell), Scarlett Johansson (Marriage Story) and Saoirse Ronan (Little Woman) competing for the Best Actress award.

In the male category of the same, big names have been nominated including Leonardo DiCaprio (Once Upon A Time In Hollywood), Jonathan Pryce (The Two Popes), Joaquin Phoenix (Joker),  Adam Driver (Marriage Story) and Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory).

Will it be the season of firsts?

Do you remember how long we waited for Leonardo DiCaprio to get his award? Looks like Joaquin Phoenix and Brad Pitt are next in line. Both these splendid actors have been nominated time and again in the Oscars but have never won. Will this be the first time when the world sees them getting up on the big stage and receiving the award? We really hope so!

In other news, it is also the first nomination for many renounced Hollywood celebs like Taron Egerton and Scarlett Johansson.
