In a recent interview, Dove talked about her role as Bubbles by saying, “After I got cast, I had to wait a week before the news came out, which was an excruciating week because I’m such a fan of the cartoon. It was so hard not to talk about it. I’m so excited to be in jeans and a little blue tank top and then levitate and zoom out of a window. Please. Fighting monsters? But, also, specifically getting to play the Powerpuff Girls. I grew up without cable, and I even knew what the Powerpuff Girls were. I’m a freak for them.”

She added, “I can’t tell you too much about it, but it is so exactly what you would want. It’s mental.”

Power puff girls was Created by Craig McCracken and produced by Hanna-Barbera.

“I found out that they were considering doing that like a year ago, and that’s all I know about it. Yeah, I’m not part of that production in any way,” McCracken said in an interview. “It’s one of these things where I don’t own those characters [they] are owned by…well, I don’t even know who owns it now because of the Warner Bros. It’s one of those companies that own the rights, so they can do what they want with it.”

The Power puff girls creator also added: “”I’m curious to see what they do with it. The initial concept of Power puff Girls was the idea that they were little kids being superheroes, so they’re making them grow up, which sort of changes that initial concept. But we’ll see what they do with it.”
