Gal Gadot is already in talks about her next project ‘Heart of Stone’ which has now found a place on Netflix.
Gal Gadot’s recent Netflix acquisition ‘Heart of Stone’ is still in the early stages of production. There are only a few details known about the project. ‘Heart of Stone’ will be a type of espionage thriller directed by Tom Harper. Tom Harper has previously directed ‘The Aeronauts’ starring Felicity Jones, and the indie country musical, ‘Wild Rose.’ Gal Gadot will also be a co-producer in the movie.
Gal Gadot’s Netflix feature film ‘Heart of Stone’ will be written by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder. According to Deadline, ‘Heart of Stone’ will be a female spin on movies like ‘Mission Impossible’ and ‘James Bond.’
Netflix acquired the Gal Gadot film from Skydance Media. Another Skydance Media title, ‘The Tomorrow War’ has been taken over by Amazon. Skydance has also sold Michael B. Jordan starrer Tom Clancy’s adaptation of ‘Without Remorse’ to Amazon.
Deadline reported that the auction for the Gal Gadot movie was pretty competitive before it was finally won by Netflix for the worldwide rights of the movie.
Gal Gadot’s ‘Heart of Stone’ will mark Netflix’s fourth project with Skydance after ‘The Old Guard,’ Ryan Reynold’s ‘6 Underground’ and the forthcoming Shawn Levy directorial ‘The Adam Project.’
Gadot has just delivered her latest movie, ‘Wonder Woman 1984,’ the first of its kind to get a simultaneous theatre and streaming release. The movie received mixed reactions but has paved the way for Warner Bros. to team up Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins for a third feature.
Gadot has also recently finished another Netflix production, ‘Red Notice’. She will be appearing as a notorious jewel thief in the movie. ‘Red Notice’ is directed by Rawson Thurber Marshall featuring Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds.
Netflix has revealed it will be releasing some high-profile features among the 71 movies it will be releasing in 2021.
