Harrison Ford respires his role in Indiana Jones 5 and new photos from the set are here
The first look from the sets of Indiana Jones 5 is here as new photos surface on social media featuring the 78-year-old Hollywood star Harrison Ford. Indiana Jones is an action-adventure movie franchise, which started back in 1981 from the first installment of the franchise, Spielberg-directed ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark.’ Since then 4 movies have been created including ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’ in 1984, ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’ in 1989, and ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ in 2008. Actor, Harrison Ford has performed the lead role in all these 4 installments. He started working in ‘Indiana Jones‘ when he was just 39-years-old and well now he is 78.
The new Indiana Jones 5 set photos show Ford wearing his signature look, a fedora, and a brown leather jacket.
However, there were many photos that were posted by people from the set, and the first official photo is posted by actor Josh Gad on his Instagram page with a caption, “All is right in the world. Welcome back Dr. Jones.” The movie began its shooting last week in North Yorkshire.
While the plot of the movie has not been revealed yet, according to few Indiana Jones 5 set photos shared by Daily Mail, it seems like the creators are trying to show a back story involving Harrison.
A stuntman was seen chasing a train and wearing a mask that looks a lot like younger Harrison Ford. The train that was being chased had a prominent swastika on the side, which makes it look like from the time period of Nazis. The stretch of the train tracks used to shoot these scenes is the same used by Tom Cruise for Mission Impossible 7. It’s been more than a decade since the last ‘Indiana Jones’ movie was released. The fans are just hoping to see some good adventure after this long.
Initially, Indiana Jones 5 was supposed to release on July 10, 2020, however, like most other movies that were supposed to release last year, Indiana Jones also got postpone due to covid-19 induced lockdown.
Another fact about this movie is that it is not being directed by Steven Spielberg, who was the director of the other four installments.
Now, directorial duties are given to James Mangold. Actor Harrison Ford will be seen in the lead role along with Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen.
Well, it seems like the ‘Blade Runner’ star was enjoying his time in North Yorkshire as on Tuesday. Ford was spotted cycling along the banks of the River Tyne in Newcastle as the makers took a little break from shooting. The production was paused for the weekend after a stunt involving a motorcycle went a little off-road. However, there were no injuries. Indiana Jones 5 will release in 2022.
