It’s Jason’s year!

Jason Momoa is a busy man this year as the ‘Game Of Thrones’ star buckles up for more than three movies and a series release this year. And the count might still go up!

The 41-year-old star debuted with the syndicated action drama series Baywatch: Hawaii as Jason Loane in 1999. However, Momoa is popularly known for his extremely brilliant acting for the role of Khal Drogo in the first season of ‘Game Of Thrones.’ Here are the upcoming projects of Jason for this year.

Aquaman 2

Jason Momoa is also famous among the fans for his movies like Conan the Barbarian, Aquaman, and many more. Now since we are on the topic of Aquaman, a movie that takes people on a journey to an underwater kingdom, many fans will be excited to know that the makers have finally begun shooting for the remake of the movie.

Almost three weeks ago, Momoa revealed the title for his upcoming movie, ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,’ and now, director James Wan has announced that the cast and crew have started filming the movie through an Instagram post. By looking at the post, it looks like DCEU’s Aquaman 2 will be starting off in an extremely cold environment.

See season 2

Francis Lawrence’s 2019 action-drama series ‘See’ is one of Jason Momoa’s upcoming projects of this year that his fan might not wanna miss. ‘See,’ is a story which sets in the future, when most of humankind has lost their sight because of a virus. The people have learned to survive and fight without their sight. Jason will be seen playing the role of  Baba Voss, the chieftain of the Alkenny tribe. The makers are now ready to release the second season of this drama series on August 27, 2021.

In the second season, Jason Momoa will be seen fighting with ‘Guardians of The Galaxy’ star Dave Bautista, who plays the role of Baba Voss’s nemesis brother, Edo Voss.

Dune

However, this is not the only project in which Jason will be seen sharing the screen with Dave this year. The two celebrities are all set to appear together once again in Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of the sci-fi novel, Dune. According to Jason Momoa, this movie is “a masterpiece.” Dune, which also stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and Oscar Isaac, is one of the movies that have been delayed in 2020 due to the global pandemic. However, the movie is now all ready to release in October this year.

Sweet Girl

Another project, that is included in Jason Momoa’s upcoming movies list for this year, is Netflix’s revenge thriller, Sweet Girl, which will be released on the streaming service on August 20, 2021. This movie will bring out the story of a common man, Ray Cooper, who indulges in a fight with a pharmaceutical company responsible for pulling a potentially life-saving drug from the market just before his wife (Adria Arjona) dies from cancer. As Momoa reaches close to discover the truth, he and his daughter find themselves trapped in a deadly situation due to which Jason’s mission turns into a quest for vengeance to protect his daughter.

Brian Andrew Mendoza’s Sweet Girl is written by Philip Eisner, Gregg Hurwitz, and Will Staples and it also stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Adria Arjona, Raza Jaffrey, Justin Bartha, Lex Scott Davis, Marisa Tomei, and Isabela Merced portraying Momoa’s daughter. Looks like this year will be full of Jason Momoa’s movies and series.
