“Feige! Feige! Feige!”- this zealous chant more or less sums up the recently held Comic-Con Experience held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where the mastermind behind the magnanimous Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kevin Feige gave fans a major sneak peek into the upcoming world of superheroes all-ready to rock our world! The event had everything from the first footage of “Eternals”, sneak peeks from Disney+ series Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision as well as unseen footage from the upcoming Black Widow, due to release on May 1, 2020!
“Are you guys excited for what’s coming up next?” Feige asked the crowd, which was going totally crazy as soon as the producer of the giant MCU ascended the stage for his panel.
“It fills me with immense gratitude we were able to finish Avengers: Endgame and you all came out and made it a big success,” said Feige. “It’s exciting because now we get to talk about what’s coming next.”
At the recently held event, the Marvel Studios boss shared a little about their currently-ongoing project, Eternals, starring some A-listers like Angelina Jolie, Kit Harrington, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, and many others. He released the first footage from Eternals, which is set to release Nov. 6, 2020. The film, releasing a brand new team of superheroes, is based on comics about an immortal alien race of godlike beings.
“This is raw footage, just pulled out of the camera,” Feige explained. “This will not be released online.”
The footage began Barry Keoghan’s Druig welcoming the Eternals to some sort of ranch and asking them to “Make yourselves at home”, followed by mute shots of all the major actors in their character attires. There was also a Kumail Nanjiani dance number, after which a scene of Salma Hayek’s Ajak on horseback, proclaiming that the Eternals must protect the world resulted in loud cheers from the audience. There were also scenes of Angelina Jolie’s Thena fighting and a peek of a monster army (the Deviants, enemies of the Eternals, maybe?)
Kevin Feige also shared official stills from the sets of the Disney+ series Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.
He also presented unseen footage from Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, just days after its first trailer was released.
The footage included a dinner table scene presenting David Harbour’s Red Guardian, Rachel Weisz’s Melina Vostokoff, Florence Pugh and Scarlett Johansson as a dysfunctional family. And a funny scene of the Red Guardian trying and failing to fit into his old superhero costume. He is next seen asking the Black Widow if Captain America has asked anything about him.
