Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 was the highest-grossing R-rated movie of the Twentieth Century Fox studios in 2016. After March 20, 2019, when Disney acquired the Fox film studios, complications began as Disney has a family-friendly genre of movies and Deadpool specializes in adult comedy. Now Ryan Reynold is all set to appear in another part of the famous Marvel franchise Deadpool 3 as his previously played character Wade Wilson
Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 Writers
But it finally feels like Deadpool 3 will not have any more setbacks and Disney will be keeping it on the table. Sources from Deadline report that this sequel will be written by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin. The earlier sequels were written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. The Disney Studios along with Ryan Reynolds were taking writers’ meetings for over a month to hear their pitches for the next installment. But late on, they found that Wendy and Lizzie were the perfect fit. This would be the first Deadpool film by Marvel Studios under the new president Kevin Feige. We all know how he had revamped Spiderman hence the expectations are higher from this franchise too.
The Deadpool Twitter account seemed to confirm the news by putting up a picture of Bob from Bob’s Burgers with Deadpool’s dual swords on his back meaning that the writers of the show are also writing the script of the next movie.
The sources also said that Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 will have a new director as the old director, David Leitch didn’t attend the writers’ search and he has his schedule packed for 2021. But the insider also said that the doors are always open for David’s return as there are no fixed dates for the production to start.
Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 will again be an R-rated film
Even on being under the Disney umbrella Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 will again be an R-rated film like the previous two installments. It seems that Disney’s former CEO, Bob Iger who is currently the chairman of Disney has no problem with adult comedy. Deadline’s Justin Kroll has also tweeted about the movie being an R-rated version hence confirming the news.
Apart from Reynolds, there is no news about the cast of the film. Although it would be interesting to see how Deadpool pans with the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we all are hoping that it would be an independent film like Thor: Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Ryan Reynold has also been spending his quarantine with wife Blake Lively and children James, 5, Inez, 4, and Betty, 1. He has been promoting his film The Croods: A New Age where he has done the voice over for the character Guy. The couple has donated around $1 million for the coronavirus relief fund in these difficult times.
