Scarlett Johansson Is Proud Of Her Black Widow Role In MCU

Don’t miss out the trailer of Black Widow!

Scarlett Johansson is all set to make a comeback as Black Widow this summer

Scarlett Johansson, who has played the role of ‘Black Widow‘ in MCU movies for more than a decade, will be seen performing this role probably for the last time this year. The 2019’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’ marked the end of Black Widow, as she gave her life up to save the world from Thanos. Due to this, the fans are now confused about the future of Scarlett in MCU, if she will still stay or will this be her last appearance.

Johansson’s new solo ‘Black Widow,’ which will be releasing soon in theatres, will show the story of Natasha Romanoff’s life after “Avengers: Civil War.” It will tell the story of her past and along with this, it might be the end of this character.

Scarlett Johansson has recently talked about her thoughts on the possible end of her beloved character. “It’s definitely bittersweet because I love my Marvel family. I’m never going to be ready to not be a part of it,” said Scarlett. “They’ll always be family. I’ll never feel ready to not be in it because I hate to feel like I’m missing out on stuff with them. And who knows? Maybe at some point, we’ll have some opportunity to collaborate in some other kind of way.”

Black Widow will be the first big theatre release for MCU after the pandemic, and will be the first one from Marvel’s phase four to get such a big release.

Scarlett Johansson joined the Avengers family as Natasha Romanoff or Black Widow in 2010 with “Iron Man 2,” and since then she has made her own unique place among Marvel fans. The 36-year-old actress talked about how proud she is of this role.

“It was certainly wonderful to be able to produce this with them, because I got to really know the process, and know them in a whole other intimate way. It was very exciting. At the same time, I really feel good about moving on from this chapter. I feel incredibly proud of this film. It’s so strong,” Johansson said.

Will there be the next Black Widow?

While talking about her role’s probable end, Scarlett said, “In every way, and certainly as an actor, it’s always better to leave a situation when you’re on top. And to feel good about something. It’s great. And I feel on top with this. I really do. I’m really proud of it. So we’ll see how everybody else sees it! But I will always love my experience of it.” Well, this shows that Scarlett is all ready to move on from this role and pass it on to someone else. Scarlett might be seen passing her Black Widow’s role to Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova as speculated by her fans.

I definitely felt that way from the very beginning,” Scarlett Johansson said while talking on this topic. “She stands completely on her own. She’s strong and different. She’s so different to Natasha. You also see the generational difference, too, in how they react to things, and what they’re careful about, or what they’re careless about,” Johansson said. “It’s so fresh, what she does. It’s very representative, also, of who she is as a person. She’s unapologetic, and confident in herself, and curious, and brave, and emotionally brave – far more than I ever was. And that stuff all comes through. It’s wonderful to feel like you’re witnessing something great happening.
