Scarlett Johansson Talks About The Difficulty In Showing Black Widow’s Story

Her character’s story has many paths.

Scarlett Johansson talked about the difficulty in presenting the story of her character, Black Widow in the upcoming titular Marvel flick.

Every Marvel fan remembers the first time Scarlett Johansson made an appearance as the ass-kicking spy, Black Widow way back in 2010 when “Iron Man 2″ had come out. Now after almost 11 years, she is getting her own movie, Black Widow.

The upcoming movie Black Widow will depict the events set between the events of 2016’s “Captain America: Civil War” and 2018’s “Avengers: Infinity War,” and focuses on the never-seen-before past of Johansson’s character Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow.

The movie will also see her character interacting with other allies from her past, like Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova and David Harbour’s alexei shostakov.

Scarlett Johansson talked about the difficult process of how they will present the hero’s past which can be shown several ways.

“It gave us the opportunity to really show her when she’s kind of off her game, you know? Because of that, anything was possible. You’re trying to map out all of this…which is actually extremely stressful because there’s no guidelines.”

In an interview with The Direct, Scarlett talked about how she is looking forward to giving a closure of Black Widow‘s story to her fans.

“Our goal was for [fans] to feel satisfied with this story,” Johansson revealed. “That they could maybe have some resolution, I think, with this character’s death, in a way. It felt like people wanted that.”

But not all things are serious and gloomy on the set of Black Widow, as the “Stranger Things” star David Harbour, recently took to his Instagram account to share a hilarious behind-the-scenes pic of him, Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh.

In the selfie, we see all the three stars dressed up in their respective characters, making funny faces. David captioned the post by writing the story behind the iconic photo.

“Was Supposed to be a peaceful beautiful selfie about a sunset. Wound up being the definitive inner monologue of each of our characters when the two hambones arrived and made it a trio. Nat, YB, and Captain toothbrushing. We’re comin for ya July 9,” he wrote.
