Tara Reid May Star As Joe Exotic’s Worst Enemy Carole Baskin In ‘Tiger King’ Spinoff!

Wouldn’t she be the perfect Carole Baskin?!

Back in March, Netflix’s seven-episode docuseries Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, And Madness served its viewers with an insane dose of the crazy endeavors of Joe Exotic and his forever feud with his nemesis, Carole Baskin, owner of an exotic big-cat sanctuary, Big Cat Rescue, in Florida. It triggered a frenzy amidst production houses to cash-in on the series’ success with multiple adaptations of Tiger King currently in works and one of them has high chances of casting the American Pie star, Tara Reid, as Exotic’s arch-enemy Carole Baskin!

Yep, you read that right. If all goes well, we may get to see Tara Reid bring Carole Baskin to life on the silver screen in a flower crown in an upcoming live-action movie adaptation of the Netflix documentary series, Tiger King.

As disclosed by her manager and business partner, Philippe Ashfield, Tara Reid is currently in “talks” with the producers of the said film for playing Baskin but if you ask her, she is pretty confident that pulling off the animal rights activist’s character in the film.

“We are in talks with the producers and she is being considered, that is all I can say at the moment as casting is on hold,” Tara Reid’s manager, Philippe Ashfield, told the New York Post. “Tara loves Tiger King and found the documentary extremely interesting. She feels she could get into the character of Carole Baskin very well … and she has a similar look to [Baskin].”

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness brought us the eccentric life led by Joseph Maldonado-Passage a.k.a. Joe Exotic and the bitter rivalry he shared with Baskin. As shown in Tiger King, Exotic had claimed that she fed her millionaire husband Don Lewis, who disappeared in 1997, to the lions in her zoo. And Carole Baskin was so not happy with Netflix for including that detail without her consent.

“The series presents this without any regard for the truth or in most cases even giving me an opportunity before publication to rebut the absurd claims. They did not care about truth. The unsavory lies are better for getting viewers,” she said

Well, Baskin may get the wish of her side of the story being told if and when Tara Reid takes on the task of playing the quirky character on screen.

Many other Tiger King adaptations are in the pipeline like another much-talked project is American Vandal creator, Dan Lagana’s eight-episode TV drama adaption with Nicolas Cage as Joe Exotic. Universal Content Productions is busy with their adaptation and will have SNL impressionist Kate McKinnon starring as Carole Baskin.
