Tom Holland along with his co-stars Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon revealed the actual title of the upcoming Spider-Man 3 with the help of a funny sketch.
It was just yesterday that Tom Holland misdirected the fans by revealing a Spielberg-Esque fake title for Spider-Man 3 called “Spider-Man: Phone Home”.
But now we have finally received the real title for the awaited and much-debated third-instalment.
The third-instalment is officially titled “Spider-Man: No Way Home”
A video was uploaded by Tom Holland on his Instagram, which took fans by surprise.
The 31-sec-long video starts-off by showing Tom coming out of the director, John Watts’ office. He rejoins his friends and co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon who were waiting outside for him.
‘They gave us a fake name again,” says Tom about being given a false title for Spider-Man 3.
“Not shocked,” said Jacob Batalon, who stars as Peter Parker’s best friend and Spidy’s ‘Guy in the chair’ Ned. He adds that the reason Tom got a fake name is because of his long history of giving spoilers.
“It’s pretty obvious,” adds Jacob. ‘You spoil things.”
While Tom consistently denies being the guy who spoils things, the Emmy-Award winning actress, Zendaya, who plays Peter’s love-interest, MJ, replies by saying “Your thing is to spoil things.”
Zendaya even adds an example for Tom, who asks them to name a single thing that he spoiled and as a much-needed reminder, she tells him that he spoiled “The last movie title thing?”
The trio then walks past a white board, which then revealed the actual title “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, which is seen written in the center of the board amongst all the other rejected titles like “Home Alone”, “Zooming Home”, “Work From Home” to name a few.
Tom Holland recently appeared on the Jimmy Fallon Show on which he had an interview with the titular talk-show host about Spider-Man 3.
Going by Tom’s bad habit of spoiling things, it must’ve been a pretty intense interview for the actor.
Jimmy Fallon did not shy away from getting some confidential details of Spider-Man 3 as he asked Tom about the rumours of Jamie Foxx reprising his role of Electro from Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man universe.
But Tom Holland handled things pretty well as he honestly stated that his part of the script did not mention anything regarding that.
“It would be amazing if they were, because they haven’t told me that yet. And I am Spider-Man, and I’ve read the script from the beginning to the end so it would be a miracle if they could have kept that from me,” Holland said about the rumours.
