Zendaya and Timothee Chalamet are two stars whose fashion sensibilities are top-notch. Be it red carpet events or movie premiers, the duo has been receiving compliments for their statement ensembles.
The Dune co-stars posed for photos together at the photocall for their movie Dune at the Corinthia during 2021 London Film Festival on Sunday (October 17) in London, United Kingdom. And boy, they rocked head-turning outfits at the event.
Styled by Law Roach, Zendaya wore a spring 2020 look from Vivienne Westwood that consisted of a draped, chained top and checkerboard skirt paired with neutral pumps. Chalamet, meanwhile, wore a custom, mushroom-print white and blue suit by Stella McCartney, completed by a matching shirt and heeled boots.
The event also featured Jason Momoa, director Denis Villeneuve, Rebecca Ferguson, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster posing for pictures on a rooftop with The London Eye in the background.
Jason Mamoa wore a plaid three-piece suit with maroon velvet loafers for a flash of color.
Dune has been scheduled to hit the theatres on October 22.
In the promising trailers of the movie, Chalamet, Zendaya and Jason Momoa pledge to save planet Arrakis which has been invaded by unknown beings. The video clips show powerful sandstorms and the three actors battling it out with the villains, one of them being Dave Bautista.
The stellar cast of the movie includes Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, Chang Chen, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Sharon Duncan Brewster, and David Dastmalchian, with Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem. From the set design to the gigantic sandstorms, and the Zendaya-Chalamet-Momoa trio, Dune’s trailer has definitely raised our hopes for the movie.
Back in September at the Venice Film Festival, Zendaya and Chalamet rocked the red carpet at the Dune’s premier.
Zendaya wore an artfully draped leather Balmain gown custom-fitted to an exact model of the star’s bust, styled by her longtime image architect Law Roach. And Chalamet donned Haider Ackermann sequin black slacks, Cartier jewelry, sleek black sunglasses, and polished leather boots.
Though Chalamet and Zendaya have great onscreen chemistry, the Spider-Man star has been seeing her her super hero co-star Tom Holland.
In a new cover story interview for InStyle‘s October issue, she talks about how much she admires Holland for his work and commitment to acting.
“There are many things, obviously, that I appreciate,” she said. “In an actor way, I appreciate that he really loves being Spider-Man. It’s a lot of pressure—you take on the role of a superhero wherever you go. To the little kid who walks by, you are Spider-Man. I think he handled that so well.”
She added, “And seeing him at work, even though he’s not a Virgo, he is a perfectionist.”
