Back After Four Years! Rihanna Pairs Up With PartyNextDoor To Launch New Song ‘Believe It’

We missed you, Rihanna!

If you, like us, have been eagerly been on your toes, waiting for Rihanna to drop her next album after her 2016’s hit Anti, well then we all are in luck peeps! Well no her much-awaited album isn’t here but Rihanna has finally dropped her first new track in four years-  she features on the R&B singer, PartyNextDoor’s new track “BELIEVE IT!”, which is finally out! 

The song, released in the early hours of 27th March, is a part of the PartNextDoor’s album PARTYMOBILE and is his follow-up to PARTYNEXTDOOR3. Rihanna took to Twitter to announce the release of the song: “Believe it!! @partynextdoor album live!!!!”

To explain in broad terms, “Believe It” follows two lovers whose relationship is on the rocks as they implore each other to believe in the bond they share. 

“Best make me believe it / Best make me believe it / Believe you won’t deceive me,” Rihanna and Party, 26, accompanied by the upbeat tune, sing together in harmony. 

“First you gotta forgive me Let me know everything gon’ be okay/ Even if I come out with everything I did/ Would you still punish me even though I did it a long time ago?/ If so, let me know/ If I propose, would you say no?/ Would you break my heart?/ Would you embarrass me or play your part?” Party croons. 

Rihanna last single album was Anti back in 2016

“Believe It” marks Rihanna’s first musical work since then as she has been busy with beauty and fashion empire of Fenty. In fact, Rihanna’s 2016 album Anti had two songs Work and Sex With Me which were, wait for it, co-written by PartyNextDoor. Following Anti, the Grammy winner had heavily hinted at dropping new music soon, something which she has continued for the last four years, putting her fans on the edge as they eagerly wait for her highly anticipated forthcoming album. 

Giving some relief to her zealous followers, Rihanna had recently confirmed that she’s heading into the studio with Pharrell Williams for her ninth studio album. 

“I’m going to be in the studio. I’m so excited actually. I can’t say who I’m working with, but it’s somebody I’ve been wanting to work with him for a long time,” she told The Cut. Playing hard to get, Rihanna finally revealed that the artist she is working with is Pharrell.”
