K-POP phenoms BTS are working hard to bring hope and joy to their fans in these unprecedented and highly tensed times. Even amidst the global pandemic, the group was reported to have already started working on a new album which will follow up their February K-POP blockbuster release, Maps to the Soul: 7.
Along with that, they have kept the fandom amused with different forms of entertainment. A docu-series called ‘Break the Silence’ which gives us a look inside their famous tours for LOVE YOURSELF and SPEAK YOURSELF, a new album which is in the works, and an online concert called BANG BANG CON are all on the band’s to-do-list! And then they often bless us with one of the super cute live streams!
SUGA took to BTS’ YouTube live stream to turn up some heat!
The young rapper opened up about future plans and collabs. He is seen peacefully painting in the live stream and talking very candidly about different things of the past, present and future. The most important of which would be his collaboration with South Korean singer, IU. IU has been out of the public eye for some time, and fans have been looking forward to her comeback. Little did they know that it would be such a huge project that would leave even the most ardent fans gasping!
Her agency later confirmed the good news!
As translated by soompi.com, singer IU’s agency EDAM Entertainment stated, “IU will be releasing a digital single on May 6, and she will also be releasing a music video along with her music.”
They further commented on the collab, “As musicians of the same age, the two singers were able to relate to one another and use that as a foundation for exchanging opinions. They created their own unique synergy, which is reflected in their song.”
IU seems very excited and involved with the project!
It is reported that IU finished the filming of the video last month, her agency emphasizing that the young singer has been involved with every little step of the production personally, since it is a different style of music from what she has been offered in the past. The collab with SUGA puts more spotlight on the project, as fans are now looking with anticipating eyes what their two favourite artists are going to come up with.
From the looks of it, this is going to one hell of a collab and we couldn’t be more excited about it! How about you, ARMY?
