Doja Cat is “tired.” The 25-year-old superstar got candid on social media on Wednesday (October 6), talking about how “overworked” she is.
In a series of since-deleted tweets, the star revealed that she was completely burnt out from all the projects and partnerships she’s doing, writing, “I’m just tired and i don’t want to do anything.”
“I’m not happy. I’m done saying yes to motherf***ers cuz I can’t even have a week to just chill. I’m never not working. I’m fucking tired,” she said, adding, “I wanna be alone. Alex is getting old he’s 68 years old and I can’t even be there for him. I wanna be alone.”
She also went on to admit that her packed schedule wasn’t “anybody else’s fault.”
“ I just keep agreeing to shit I don’t wanna do in the future. It’s my own dumb ass fault,” she explained. “And then I’m too tired to put any effort into this shit cuz I’m so run down from everything else.”
Doja Cat is one of the biggest artists in the world right now. Her busy schedule shuffles between photo and video shoots, interviews, studio time, rehearsals, performances, and other commitments.
The “Say So” hitmake took center stage at Austin City Limits music festival on October 2 where she performed her biggest hits.
She recently debuted her official beauty collection in collaboration with BH Cosmetics. For Doja, her introduction to the beauty world was a “crappy” blue eyeliner purchased from her local CVS.
Doja’s interest in the beauty segment comes from hours of perfecting her eyeliner skills. As a kid she observed her mother apply makeup in the bathroom mirror and began to steal a few products from her mother’s makeup bag.
“I used to do a giant cat-eye and the kids [in my high school] used to call me Amy Winehouse and other names that they thought were funny but weren’t. I’ve been learning how to do this cat eyeliner over the years, and I finally perfected it,” she said. From there, she purchased a massive BH Cosmetics eyeshadow palette. “I had every color in the rainbow and I went crazy with that. I definitely didn’t know how to prime my eyes, so nothing looked that great, but I kept going.” From here on she has created her own makeup starter kit that has grown in size.
