Is that really how 31 looks? Her lucky number, 13 flipped over, probably did its magic. Stunning, glowing and Happy, Grammy winner Taylor swift spoke to Jimmy Kimmel this Tuesday, about how she spent her birthday balanced with drinks and water, fans conjectures about the new album and did you know her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn has co-written some of the songs in the new album under a pseudonym, William Bowery?
Well, this isn’t the first time William Bowery has shown his lyrical skills as he has previously collaborated with Taylor to write ‘Betty’ and ‘Exile’ for Folklore. On being asked who chose the pseudonym, Taylor Swift confirmed that her boyfriend did and although Kimmel nudged her to clear the speculations about Bowery Hotel in NYC being the cradle of the pseudonym, she politely said ‘’it’s his story to tell’’.
Is There A Third surprise?
Eagle eyed Swiftians didn’t miss a small ‘Woodvale’ inscribed on the cover of Evermore’s sister album, Folklore that came out back in July. This led to them speculating that there’s a new album on the way, third in the series of surprise drops but Taylor Swift cleared the air.
‘’This takes a bit of explanation. I tend to be sort of annoyingly secret agent-y about dropping clues and hints and Easter Eggs’’, the singer began. Saying that ‘it’s fun for fans and fun for me because they like to pick up on things’, she added ‘’sometimes I take it too far and I make a mistake’’.
Taylor said she was ‘afraid to release the title’ to even her teammates and management so she didn’t tell anybody what it’s going to be till it was ready to release. She then revealed how her cover-ups resulted in a blunder. ‘’I came up with a fake code name that had the same amount of letters as Folklore.’’ Okay so there’s a picture here but why ‘Woodvale’? Swift said that she randomly chose the name and to see how it would look on the album covers, they got everything set up before deciding they didn’t fancy the title on the mock-up covers. BUT! Here’s her punchline, ‘’And we forgot to take the fake code name off of one of them’’.
The 31-year-old further revealed that ‘Evermore’ too had a code name, ‘November’ but they were careful this time and took it off the mock-ups of the cover before it dropped. ‘’We learned our lesson’’, she joked. Okay hmm so maybe not ‘Woodvale’ but she didn’t deny there’s a third album. Nothing wrong with being positive!
‘’With Folklore and Evermore, there are 16 tracks on Folklore. There are 15 tracks on Evermore. Add them up, what do you get? 31,’’ Taylor Swift said on the show, referring to her 31st birthday, after explaining how she ‘’forces numerology’’ to happen.
