Sebastian Stan and Lily James are all set to appear in an upcoming American biographical drama, Pam & Tommy, which follows the story Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. On Friday, May 7, Hulu released the first-look photos of its limited series and the results are absolutely shocking.
Stan and James have transformed into their characters in a way that it is difficult to make out the difference between the reel and real characters.
For the Hulu series, Sebastian Stan and Lily James recreated one of the most memorable moments of Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson’s relationship. The actors filmed a scene portraying Lee and Anderson’s whirlwind 1995 wedding.
In new photos snapped on June 5, audience can see the two actors dressed in their character as they filmed outside a church in Los Angeles.
In the photos that have surfaced, Stan is dressed in a black button-down shirt, gray pants, and a chain necklace. And James, for her part, wore a tight, red leather mini dress and held a pair of high heels in her hand.
In one shot, Sebastian can be seen carrying Lily into the church.
While the countdown continues until fans can watch their story unfold in Hulu’s highly anticipated project, let’s find out more about the former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.
Pam & Tommy’s story is one that caught attention in the ’90s for their whirlwind romance and the most high-profile marriages. While Tommy, 58, is a founding member of rock band Mötley Crüe, Pamela, 53, became a bona-fide star thanks to Baywatch.
After his divorce from actress Heather Locklear in 1993, Tommy Lee met Pamela in 1994 at a New Year’s Eve party. Although the two didn’t hit romantic notes immediately, their relationship completely changed after their first date. The two got married on a beach 96 hours later.
Months after getting married, Pamela and Tommy found themselves in a legal battle that completely consumed their relationship. A private video of the couple being intimate was stollen by the couple’s former electrician and eventually circulated for profit. The couple took action by filing a $10 million lawsuit to stop anyone from making a profit off of the private video.
Between the legal battle, the couple welcomed their son Brandon, just one year into their marriage. But the media coverage and their legal battle took a toll on their marriage. Two years later they welcomed their second child, a son named Dylan.
The end to their marriage was near due to physical altercations. By May 1998, Tommy was sentenced to six months in Los Angeles County Jail for felony spousal battery, after pleading no contest.
The project, Pam & Tommy, is produced by Robert Siegel and DV DeVincentis, who are also co-showrunners. While Hulu has yet to set an official release date for the series, it is supposed to follow the above-mentioned details of the ex-couple’s life.
