Dan Levy’s SNL Full Of Schitt’s Creek References And Surprise Cameo From His Dad

Dan Levy’s Saturday Night Live is here!

Dan levy‘s Saturday Night Live hosting debut starts with him highlighting the coronavirus safety protocols. Dan Levy is an Emmy Award-winning actor and also the co-creator and director of Schitt’s Creek.

Dan Levy’s SNL started with his words-“Somewhere, my 13-year-old self has fainted in like a really needy, melodramatic way. And now in the past 12 months I have quite literally changed my life in so many ways, both good and not so good. The good: people finally started watching our show Schitt’s Creek.”

Dan Levy added by saying-” The good: I have been getting stopped on the street by all different kinds of people, which is new and fun and different. The not so good: those people are mainly screaming ‘Ew!’ at me, which was a line I wrote for the show that will now haunt me for the rest of my life. But in all seriousness, for all the good and the not so good, I have somehow found myself here on this iconic stage standing in front of all of you. And trust me when I say this, it has only been good here at SNL.”

Dan Levy also took the viewers for a tour to show the backstage and the studio. The tour showed all the viewers some socially distanced rooms, staff in hazmat suits, and an antiviral mist. A safety officer named Dorene was seen keeping everyone safe and managing the COVID-19 guidelines. She says while holding a pool noodle in her hand to measure the physical distance -“When you wanna get chummy, just put a noodle in your tummy.”

Dan Levy gets a surprise when he sees his father and Schitt’s Creek co-star Eugene Levy who was waiting for him around the corner. Eugene Levy spoke to his son through a plexiglass display by saying-“I flew in to wish you luck tonight but because I traveled, I’m in this isolation box.”

However, when Dan Levy returns to the stage, Eugene Levy requests the staff members to shift his box so that he can have a better view of the stage. Eugene Levy says-“Excuse me, can you turn me towards the stage so I could see the show?”

Dan Levy’s SNL featured him as a tour guide in the first sketch. The tour levy reveals some unconventional insights from famous shows and movies.

He then featured as a guest at a Super Bowl party with other people who misunderstand the pandemic guidelines. During the super bowl party, the guests talk about the pandemic and how they have been keeping themselves safe from it. While talking about their pandemic routines, you can also see everyone saying-“We are doing everything right.”

Dan Levy also talked about the vaccine at this party. Levy also appeared in a commercial for a website named Zillow before he introduced Phoebe Bridgers as the musical guest.
