What a night! The biggest event in the television industry i.e., the Primetime Emmy Awards 2020 just ended its first ever virtual outing, given the never-ending pandemic. The event was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel from the mostly vacant Staples Center in L.A., while the Emmy 2020 winners accepted their awards virtually.
Along with its two Creative Arts Emmys 2020, Schitt’s Creek took home seven more awards, including the Outstanding Comedy Series and became the first comedy series with the most Emmys wins in a single season. Following in its footsteps were HBO’s Watchmen and Succession as each show took home four awards each. Zendaya became the youngest actress to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the HBO show Euphoria while I Know This Much is True‘s Mark Ruffalo took home the Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie category.
