In an exclusive interview with entertainment magazine People, the cast of the show shared their moments, from messing up their lines to ruining a take and the friendships that they forged which lasted beyond the show’s screen-time. The iconic cast consisting of Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry and Courtney Cox were all present during the interview.
The stars of the Friends Reunion came together for only the second time in years since their cult-classic show about six friends living their everyday life in New York aired for the final time in 2004.
“It’s funny. When we do get together, it’s like no time has passed. We pick up right where we left off”, said Matt, who plays fan favorite Joey Tribbiani.
Jennifer Aniston added that they’re like “family”- “”I don’t have sisters. It’s what I would assume sisters are like”, added Aniston.
Lisa Kudrow said – “And I know I can text or call, and I feel like we can pick up right where we left off and no time has passed. We’re connected no matter what.”. It seems like the cast of the show has had quite the healthy relationship with each other ever since its finale aired in 2004.
Reflecting on their time from the Friends, Aniston revealed that she had taken one of Monica’s dresses-
“I went into her line of clothes and I pulled it out, and I still have it and wear to this day. It has tiny little flowers with a black lace V-neck and a little cap sleeve with a little slight ruffle of black lace.”
Lisa Kudrow shared that she kept Phoebe’s rings, bringing them to the Friends Reunion to show the ring to her former co-actors. Meanwhile Courtney Cox added she doesn’t like to “collect things” saying she’s “actually going to steal something tonight.”
Matthew Perry revealed that he took a cookie jar with a clockface on it and gave it as a present to Lisa Kudrow. Matt LeBlanc admitted that he took the “I Love Friends” license plate, framing it and put it in Schwimmer’s car.
During the Friends Reunion interview, the members revealed who among them was the best at messing up their lines during shoots. The cast members came to a consensus and agreed it was Lisa Kudrow, further adding that Aniston and Kudrow both were also the first to laugh and ruin a take.
Fans are irked about the fact that Paul Rudd will not be included in the Friends Reunion
Paul Rudd, who joined the Friends cast in its ninth season running as Mike Hannigan- a potential love interest for Lisa Kudrow’s Phoebe Buffay, will not be featured in the upcoming anticipated Friends Reunion and friends are furious about his absence!
His absence from the Friends Reunion is made more frustrating for fans of both Paul Rudd and the show considering Paul’s character Mike Hannigan tied the knot with Phoebe in the 12th episode of season 10 of the show “The One with Phoebe’s Wedding”.
It surely seems like a bad idea to have left out Paul Rudd from the Friends Reunion!
