The pair is all set to announce the Oscar Nominations this year on the 15th March ahead of the ceremony. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra took it to the former’s Twitter account to reveal the news to their fans. In a candid video shot from their home, the duo did a small gig to announce the big news.

The video started with Priyanka Chopra saying, “Tell me we’re announcing the Oscar nominations without telling me we’re announcing the Oscar nominations”. In the background husband, Nick Jonas was mixing drinks and told that she got the joke wrong.

“Well, you sort of just told everyone that we’re hosting the Oscar nominations,” he said to the shocked PC. After realization, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra casually announced the big news in an adorable manner. “Oh… that’s good enough. We’re hosting the Oscar nominations,” the 38-year-old global star concluded “Catch us live!”

Priyanka was seen in her signature look with short wavy hair and bold orange lipstick. She also wore a white knitted sweater top while her marriage ring was clearly visible to the camera. Jonas took the cool and casual look in a black hoodie and black sweatpants. Even in the 26-second video, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra had sparkling chemistry with each other.

Priyanka also posted about the news on her social media and captioned it, “Hey @TheAcademy, any chance I can announce the Oscar nominations solo? Just kidding, love you @NickJonas! We are so excited to be announcing the #OscarNoms on Monday, March 15th at 5:19AM PDT! Watch it live on @TheAcademy’s Twitter!”

Everything to know about The Oscars 2021

The 93rd Oscar Awards are going to happen this year on 25th April. The couple will announce the nominations for the 23 categories in the Academy Award. The nomination ceremony would be a live stream on streaming platforms like Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, and Roku. It will be hosted on  Oscar.com, Oscars.org and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ digital platforms from  5:19 a.m. PT / 8:19 a.m. ET.

Any other specifications for the 2021 Oscars are yet under the covers. But the spokesperson for the Awards said that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is “determined to present an Oscars like none other, while prioritizing the public health and safety of all those who will participate.” The awards were pushed back two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
