Olivia Rodrigo has recently made her TV debut. A 17-year-old singer, Olivia Rodrigo entered the music industry with her debut song Drivers License on January 8, 2021. The song experienced an almost instant success rate by breaking various Spotify streaming records over the first week of its release.
On Thursday 5 Feb, The young singer, Olivia Rodrigo made her TV debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon with her debut song.
Rodrigo was seen performing the song along with playing the piano under a rotating spotlight. This will be her first public appearance after her debut song ‘Drivers License’ got a huge success.
When asked about the song, she was reported saying to NME “I mean, that is just everything… All the recognition the song has got is beyond my wildest dreams.” And this is utterly the truth, the song can be heard all around, the social media sites are completely covered with the song and the audience seems to love it.
Apart from the fans, the celebrities also seem to like the song, as Olivia Rodrigo was reported saying during an interview “I just found out the other day that Lorde likes it, Halsey likes it, all of these people that I have grown up listening to are saying they’re liking the song.”
The song has continuously broken various records, three days after the release It was able to set the record on Spotify for most streams in a day for a non-holiday song and is still in the number one position in various countries such as the US, Canada, UK, New Zealand, etc.
Olivia Rodrigo played various roles on the screen such as in An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success and Bizaardvark along with her famous role of Nini Salazar-Roberts in The High School Musical reboot series on Dsney+ before joining the music industry. The first season of the series ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ has won a lot of appreciation and love and right now the team is busy shooting for the second season. Now she has entered the music industry with her blockbuster song Drivers License which she has recently performed on the TV for the first time on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
