Pedro Pascal seems to be in a zone of absolute excitement post The Mandalorian Golden Globe nomination! Yes, you heard that right! After successfully sweeping the audiences off their feet and earning a raving reaction with its impressive premiere, the second season of the live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, has secured a Golden Globe nomination.
Actor Pedro Pascal, who plays the title character of the lone bounty hunter, whose full name is ‘Din Djarin’, gave an absolutely elated and delightful reaction to the news of the Mandalorian Golden Globe nomination. The 45-year-old took to his Twitter and wrote, “GOLD BABY!!! Congratulations #MandoFamily,” tagging showrunner Jon Favreau and writer Dave Filoni in the same tweet.
This reaction of the Mandalorian star to the Golden Globe nomination sounds sweeter, especially post the ‘rumours‘ of him leaving the show halfway through production of the second season. It was earlier claimed by YouTuber Grace Randolph that Pedro Pascal quit the set of the Madalorian mid-way through the production of its upcoming Season 2 because of certain differences with the show’s creative team.
The rumours were later refuted by the actor himself, during his appearance on BBC’s The One Show. Pascal was quoted saying, “That is not true actually. It’s a really wonderful way of telling the story. It’s always been a very clear creed for the character, and the collaborative process of the whole thing has been, we’ve all been on the same page with this, I think. So I, you know, what I want is for them to make the best show possible, how ever they get that done.”
The show’s creator Jon Favreau also expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the nomination saying, “We are honored to be recognized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association alongside so many amazing shows. “We are incredibly fortunate to work with such a singular team of collaborators and artists that bring this show to life. On behalf of Kathy, Dave and the entire Mandalorian team — thank you for this honor.”
The news of the nomination also sparked a very cute twitter interaction between actor Mark Ruffalo and Pedro Pascal. The reel life Hulk wrote:
